St Patrick’s School was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1925 and their legacy lives on through the Mercy values instilled in the school community.

The Mercy values of compassion, justice, hospitality, service, respect and courage are lived through service to others in the local community and for the good of community.

The school is a source of faith and life for all families and members of the broader community, with students provided with opportunities to engage in a variety of outreach experiences that meet the needs of the local community including

  • Booringa Wing visitation to the elderly and hospital ward
  • raising money for local and international charities
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Anzac Day services
  • biennial hosting of the Booringa Fire and Water Festival
  • performances at community Christmas Carol events.

These personal interactions encourage the students to walk with others in genuine exchanges of friendship, kindness and joy.
